While we knew that Princess Tiana was ready to come to life at Disneyland and Magic Kingdom, we did not know the name of her signature attraction until today. Today, Disney announced her new ride will be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

To connect with New Orleans’ rich musical history, Tiana will take guests through the bayou as she and her friends get ready to host a Mardi Gras celebration. To complement the 1920s era story that the this ride connect to, Disney Costume Designer Ida Muldrow and her team worked to make sure all of the characters were wearing clothing that resembled the era. By connecting the ride and the outfit of the characters to the 1920s, Disney will be able to fully immerse guests into the era with the addition of an original musical score for the ride.

While I am excited for the new ride, it will be awhile before myself and other park goers will be able to join Princess Tiana on her trip. Along with the name of the ride, Disney also announced that the ride will open in late 2024.

Kyle’s Tips: If you are looking to be among the first people to try out this ride, I would recommend looking for trips around Disney’s winter celebrations. While it is still too early to book travel, this late 2024 start date gives us a good idea that the launch will happen after the summer season. By launching this ride around the holidays, Disney will give guests another reason to take a trip to Disney for the holidays.
